Ida Odinga, the wife to Azimio la Umoja presidential flag bearer Raila Odinga has asked politicians to desist from causing violence during the electioneering period.
Speaking during a church service in Migori county on Friday, June 3, Mrs Odinga said that violence does not pay especially during elections.
“Let us remove violence from our elections. It doesn’t pay. Here in Nyanza, if we bring violence towards one another, it is your sister who will suffer, it is your brother who you will hurt. What will happen after that?” Mrs Odinga paused.
She further stated that Kenya as a nation does not need violence as she cautioned the youth against being used to cause harm by politicians.
