MetroTrans East Africa will kick off door-to-door transport services in Kenya.
The transport company has received another 20 buses towards the service.
The 20 buses are part of a Ksh389 million fleet of new FUSO buses to offer door-to-door transport in Kenya.
The investment is a lease partnership between National Bank of Kenya (NBK) and Simba Corporation.
The new buses will be used on different routes in Nairobi and will be available on the SWVL platform.

MetroTrans Chief Executive Officer Oscar Rosanna says the company will continue growing their fleet to serve customers better.
“This is an opportunity to widen our reach and offer better transportation solutions to our clients. These buses will help us add value to our clients,” said.
Simba Corp Motors Managing Director Naresh Leekha said Fuso is geared towards providing comfort.
“When it comes to buses, comfort is key when moving from point A to B. With this partnership we offer all passengers comfort in travelling, with enough leg room, aeration, seatbelts, better driving comfort for the driver,” he said.
He noted that Simba Corp has invested in fully-fledged after-sales centres across the country and are on hand to provide genuine parts for all Fuso trucks and buses.
“In addition, we have continuous training sessions to engage drivers on the buses’ capabilities for maximum efficiency, ” he added.
