The Ministry of Health has said that there have been no cases of Monkeypox recorded in the country so far.
Health Principal Secretary Susan Mochache says the ministry in collaboration with the department of immigration have heightened surveillance in all points of entry in the country.
The PS added that robust and proper response measures have been put in place in Kenya and across the East Africa region.
At least 100 cases of the virus have been confirmed in Europe, the Americas and Australia.
Some 16 countries have registered cases of the virus
In Africa, the virus is common in remote parts of Central and West Africa.
