National assembly majority leader Kimani Ichungwa has asked the head of state not to treat opposition leader Raila Odinga with glove hands.
According to Ichung’wah, Kenyans respected Raila as the father of democracy, adding that the opposition leader has now turned into a mercenary for hire.
Kimani Ichung’wah also alleged that Mr. Odinga and his supporters were targeting Kikuyu-owned enterprises in Nairobi through his weekly anti-government protests because they didn’t vote for him.
“We owe you nothing. If there is any Kikuyu who owes you anything is Uhuru Kenyatta. We have the capacity to mobilize people to protect their property, but we are only being civil,” he said.
“The government must use all legitimate means to stop you from destroying other people’s property,” Kimani added.

Moreover, the lawmaker claimed that the handshake government murdered over 200 people and dumped their bodies in River Yala.
In addition, Kimani Ichung’wah told Azimio La Umoja One Kenya leader Raila Odinga to stop demanding the opening of servers by IEBC.
He further added that the servers were opened on August 31, 2023, on orders of the supreme court and his Azimio team was satisfied.
Likewise, the law maker stated that no one is interested in Raila’s life.
Similarly, Uasin Gishu senator Jackson Mandago noted that Mr. Odinga was leading post-election violence.
Mandago said Raila must be stopped from using opening servers and the high cost of living as an excuse to destroy other people’s property
“The country has a constitution. Raila should first recognize the current leadership. Raila is leading post-election violence,” he said
Likewise, Kericho senator Aaron Cheruiyot said that what is happening in Kenya is no longer mass action but hooliganism.
“Kenyans are wondering whether there’s a government in place. The law should apply to all Kenya,” he noted.
