The Kenya Kwanza Coalition is now seeking to save bipartisan talks a few days after Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition withdrew for seven days naming conflicting differences.
Kenya Kwanza has proposed several measures to be taken to ensure bipartisan talks resume.
Moreover, Kenya Kwanza bipartisan talks chairperson George Murugara in a letter addressed to Azimio coalition chairperson Otiende Amollo proposes that the committee writes to the selection panel asking them to halt the process for about 21 – 30 days.
Kenya Kwanza argues that there is a legally ordained Interim Measure to preserve IEBC’s Presidential Election Servers until August 15, 2025, and that for abundance of caution Murugara is willing to co-author a letter to the IEBC reminding them of their legal obligation to preserve the Presidential Election Servers and the data contained therein to facilitate any requirement for inspection.

As such, the Kenya Kwanza Chairperson has invited Otiende Amollo for a meeting on Monday at 2pm to discuss and write the required letters so that the talks can continue.
Nonetheless, the opposition on Wednesday last week issued an ultimatum to the government to declare their commitment to implement the interim concerns.
They further added that failure to head to the ultimatum, the talks will be considered collapsed, and the opposition will meet to decide on a way forward.
