Political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi through a statement on Tuesday, March 7 asked President William Ruto to reach out to Raila Odinga and have a private discussion.
Ngunyi says that the head of state should not push Mr. Odinga’s limits.
“Dear Ruto. Are you sure you know how to handle Raila Odinga? Fuel is up, but you are giving him political fuel for free. Do not push his limits. Use lollypop diplomacy. Open DCI gates. Give him some whisky in a private waiting room. Be friendly,” Ngunyi stated.
Moreover, the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya leader has been spearheading a series of anti-government rallies nationwide.

The rallies have so far been held Kamukunji, Jacaranda and Jevanjee gardens in Nairobi. Likewise, the Azimio team has held rallies in Machakos, Kisumu, Busia, Kisii and Kakamega.
However, the President while reacting to the protests from the opposition team fighting to have him resign from office said he will remain unshaken and continue serving Kenyans.

Nonetheless, Mr. Odinga has called for mass action from next week if President Ruto fails to address the key issues he raised. The opposition chief had given a 14-day ultimatum for the president to address his concerns.
In addition, Mr. Odinga on Sunday asked his supporters to gather in Nairobi for the peaceful protest, setting the stage for a confrontation with the police.
“I want all of you (supporters in Kitale) to come to Nairobi and join us for the peaceful demonstrations,” Raila stated as he informed them on the song they will sing as they march to a destination he is yet to disclose.
