Githunguri Member of Parliament (MP) Gathoni Wamuchomba has declared her interest in vying for the presidency. In a statement on Sunday, April 20, Wamuchomba said she has a goal to lead Kenya in future.
She went ahead to list his manifesto if she is elected as the first female head of state.

Wamuchomba asked Kenyans to vote for her, adding that she has no funds for the campaign.
“One day, I will lead this country. Who will make me a president? I have no money to campaign,” she said.

She promised to turn around available labour to riches, create cottage industries and subsidise power.
Wamuchomba said every home with a backyard will produce a product for domestic consumption, like toothpicks, spoons, pots, towels, belts, among others.

Further, she said her administration will introduce cottage special zones with special power and water rates.
Wamuchomba Plans for Cottage Industry
Wamuchomba said she will establish a national symposium for Kenya’s cottage industry.
She announced plans to create a national award system for the cottage’s best innovators.
Besides, she said the government will create a Cottage Fund for incubation in every county.
“Our idle stadium will be cottage markets from 6 pm to 1 am daily with a special cleaning squad,” she said.
The MP said she will provide extension officers to evaluate cottage progress and assist with technical advice.
Additionally, Wamuchomba said her administration will revamp Kenya Industrial Estate and fund it to market Kenya’s cottage products internationally.

Coffee & Tea
She also outlines plans to process Kenya’s tea locally and export the final product, not the raw material.
“When I’m president, we will not export raw macadamia, coffee and tea but rather will process locally and sell final goods. I will revamp the Agricultural Mechanisation Unit to support Value addition,” Wamuchomba said.

Sanitary Pads
Wamuchomba added that women will use locally made sanitary towels and other products.
She explained that the government will manufacture items like wigs and sanitary pads from biodegradable fibres.
“When I’m president, women of Kenya will wear local hair wigs made here from banana fibres and biodegradable. All sanitary towels will be made here from biodegradable fibres,” she said.
Wamuchomba becomes the latest leader to hint at dethroning President William Ruto in 2027.
Others include Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka, former Chief Justice David Maraga, former Interior CS Fred Matiang’i and Embakasi East Babu Owino.
