Microsoft Co-Founder and Philanthropist Bill Gates has publicly admitted to having two extramarital affairs during his marriage to Melinda French Gates.
Speaking at a foundation town hall, Gates apologized to staff and denied having an affair with the alleged Epstein victims.
Gates stressed that he ‘did nothing illicit’ and took responsibility for his actions, aiming to address growing scrutiny following the recent release of Epstein-related files.
The latest revelations mark the first time Gates has publicly acknowledged having affairs during his 27-year marriage with Melinda French Gates, which ended in divorce in 2021.

In a town hall meeting, Gates acknowledged his mistakes, saying it was a huge error to spend time with Epstein and to involve Foundation executives in meetings with him.
He emphasized that he did nothing illicit and saw nothing illicit, while also admitting to two affairs that Epstein later discovered.
Gates reiterated that his interactions with Epstein were purely philanthropic and that he deeply regrets his actions.
A Gates Foundation spokesperson confirmed that Gates took responsibility for his actions during the meeting.
Bill Gates Admits Having an Affair with Two Russian Girls
During the meeting, Gates admitted to two extramarital affairs, both involving two Russian women.
One was a bridge player he met at bridge events, and the other was a nuclear physicist he met through business activities.
Gates confirmed that Epstein discovered these affairs but stressed they were unrelated to Epstein’s criminal conduct.
This comes after new documents from the US Department of Justice (DOJ) that revealed more details on their meetings that included draft emails in which Epstein accused Gates of contracting a sexually transmitted infection from Russian girls. Gates’ spokesperson called these claims “absolutely absurd and completely false.”
The philanthropist also denied making any financial payments to Epstein or employing him.

Bill Gates Reveals How Epstein Lied to Him
Earlier in February, Bill Gates revealed that convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein misled him by claiming he could connect him with wealthy individuals willing to donate to global health causes.
In an interview with Australia’s 9 News, Gates confirmed that he first met Epstein in 2011 and interacted with him over three years, but the promised connections never materialized.
“The focus was always—he knew a lot of very rich people, and he was saying he could get them to give money to global health,” Gates stated.
Gates described the effort as “a dead end” and admitted, “I was foolish to spend time with him.” Gates also noted, “I was one of many people who regretted ever knowing him.”
Bill Gates addressed a particular email in which Epstein mentioned him.
He explained that Epstein had written the email to himself and never sent it. Gates called the content “false” and expressed uncertainty about Epstein’s intentions, asking, “Was he trying to attack me in some way?”
