Frustrated Trump Threatens to Blow Up All Oil Wells in Iran and Starve the Country of Water

U.S. President Donald Trump has issued a stern warning to Iran, stating that if his demands are not met, he will blow up all oil wells in the region and also cut off the region’s supply of clean water.

In a public statement on his official Truth Social account, President Donald Trump said the United States is engaged in serious discussions with what he described as a new and more reasonable leadership in Iran.

He said the talks are focused on ending American military operations connected to Iran and reaching an agreement that would stabilize the region.

The United States of America is in serious discussions with A NEW, AND MORE REASONABLE, REGIME to end our Military Operations in Iran. Great progress has been made but, if for any reason a deal is not shortly reached, which it probably will be, and if the Hormuz Strait is not immediately “Open for Business,” we will conclude our lovely “stay” in Iran by blowing up and completely obliterating all of their Electric Generating Plants, Oil Wells and Kharg Island (and possibly all desalinization plants!), which we have purposefully not yet “touched.” This will be in retribution for our many soldiers, and others, that Iran has butchered and killed over the old Regime’s 47 year “Reign of Terror.” Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DONALD J. TRUMP

However, he warned that failure to conclude an agreement would trigger decisive action by the U.S.

Trump Threatens Iran’s Infrastructure

The President said that if the Strait of Hormuz was not immediately opened to commercial traffic, the United States would carry out large-scale strikes on Iran’s economic and civilian infrastructure.

He said targets would include electric power plants, oil wells, and Kharg Island, a central hub for Iran’s oil exports.

President Donald Trump added that desalination plants, which provide drinking water in many parts of the country, could also be hit.

President Trump said U.S. forces had so far avoided attacking these facilities on purpose.

He said this restraint was intentional and tied to ongoing negotiations.

The warning signaled that such limits could be lifted if Iran failed to meet American demands.

The President described the threatened strikes as punishment for the deaths of American soldiers and others, which he blamed on Iran.

He accused Iranian authorities of carrying out violence and repression over several decades, describing the period as one marked by fear and bloodshed.

The U.S maintains a significant military presence in the region, including naval forces tasked with protecting shipping lanes.

President Donald Trump says these forces are needed to deter attacks and ensure freedom of navigation.

President Trump ended his statement without giving details about the terms of a possible agreement or a deadline for Iran to act.

Time Running Out for Trump

President Donald Trump is facing growing pressure at home as his tough warning to Iran draws criticism from Congress and the public.

Several lawmakers have openly questioned the lack of a clear plan, rising costs, and the risk of a wider war.

At least 13 US troops have been killed and more than 230 wounded since fighting began, according to official figures, while the Pentagon has asked Congress to approve about $200 billion (Ksh26 trillion) in emergency funding.

Tensions rose further on Capitol Hill after classified briefings on Iran. Members from both parties said they were dissatisfied with the information provided.

Some Republican lawmakers walked out of the briefings, saying no clear strategy, timeline or exit plan was explained.

Others warned they would block further funding if troops were sent into Iran.

For now, Trump can continue military action for 60 days without congressional approval, but that window is closing as public opposition grows and lawmakers push for oversight.
