Kenyan comedian and content creator Eddie Butita was the man of the moment at the Tyler Perry Studios in the United States after his interaction with renowned media personality Steve Harvey.
On the second day of President William Ruto’s State Visit to the United States, Butita was part of the Kenyan delegation that toured the iconic studios in Atlanta, Georgia.
In video clips shared from the Georgia capital on Tuesday, May 21, Butita and President Ruto were captured indulging in a light moment as they marveled at the magnificent facility known for its film productions.
The duo even took photos with Steve Harvey and shared a moment as President Ruto asked Butita when Kenya would have such a facility.
According to Butita, Harvey acknowledged having watched his work on YouTube.
“I saw you on YouTube,” Butita wrote while quoting Steve Harvey’s words.
The former Churchill Show comedian further expressed his gratitude towards President William Ruto for the opportunity stating that he had fulfilled his 14-year dream.
“Thank you, Mr President, for this honourable connection, meeting Steve Harvey Has been a dream for the past 14 years today it became a reality,” Butita said.
He further elaborated on the details of their conversation.
“We had great conversations on how to equip and train talents for business success in showbiz it is show and business and I’m happy our creatives are factored in these conversations,” he added.

According to the president, the visit that included a stop at Tyler Perry studios was an inspiration to put more effort and resources in the creative sector of Kenya’s economy.

“The Tyler Perry Studios tour was an inspiration to put more effort and resources in the creative sector of our economy. I am encouraged by the huge potential for collaboration and partnership with such institutions that could help our young talented youth to monetize their creativity,” Ruto said.
Celebrities and Journalists in the US
President Ruto was accompanied by other celebrities, a host of government officials and Media personalities.
They included Catherine Kamau alias Kate actress, NTV’s Brygettes Ngana, Citizen TV anchor Ayub Abdikadir, Multimedia journalist Steve Shitera.

Others included senior anchor George Maringa from TV47. The journalists broadcasted an array of Ruto’s activities from his visit.
Ruto and the first lady Rachel Ruto met up with the NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal popularly known as Shaq on May 20 during a visit at the Martin Luther King Junior National Historical Park in Atlanta Georgia.
Standing at a height of 7 feet and one inch, the head of state was visibly astonished by the height of the NBA star and had to face up while having a moment of laughter with Shaq.
