Safaricom has announced disruption in Fuliza services.
In a statement on September 30, Safaricom confirmed the disruption is affecting customers and asked them to report the challenges they are experiencing.
Hello, we are currently experiencing challenges with Fuliza repayments. What challenge do you have on your end?
Customers raised concerns about disruptions in Fuliza repayments, prompting the company to respond.
Many shared on social media that their Fuliza debts were not being deducted when they received money in their M-PESA accounts.
Safaricom confirmed that customers are experiencing delays in deduction of fuliza and its technical team is working to resolve the challenge.
“Hello, sorry for the challenge experienced, there is ongoing delays on deduction for Fuliza but our technical team is checking on it,” Safaricom said.
X user named Big Youth said he received money, but Safaricom has not deducted the fulliza debt one hour later.
“Safaricom it’s been an hour since I deposited my account. Deduct your fuliza or forever hold your peace. Nataka kutumia balance (I want to use the balance),” Bug Youth wrote.
“Hey Big Youth, we’re experiencing challenges on the service and resolution is underway. Apologies for the inconvenience,” Safaricom responded.
Earlier, a customer raised concern about the issue, but Safaricom directed them to dial *334#>>Fuliza>>Refresh My Limit.

Fuliza Disruption
Some users also claimed that most of the M-PESA services have had issues since the recent system upgrade.
“All the services fully restored have a problem, right Safaricom?” a user named Elnas asked.
“Hello Elnas , apologies for the experience. We are following up on this with utmost urgency and once resolved we shall advise. Apologies for inconvenience caused,” Safaricom responded.
Another user named Solo Leveling said they received Ksh2,000 on M-PESA, but the amount was not deducted despite having a Fuliza debt of Ksh1,650.

New Sim Card With Debts
Another user named Mr. International complained about buying a new SIM card that already had Okoa Jahazi and Fuliza debts.
“Can I get an explanation how I bought a new SIM card that has Okoa Jahazi and Fuliza debts?” Mr.International asked.
“Hallo Hyake, sorry for inconvenience. Kindly dial *334#, Select 00 and Select Refresh My Limit. You can refresh your FULIZA limits once a month. Kindly note that the loan limit review is done at the bank’s discretion, which unfortunately doesn’t allow a manual adjustment,” Safaricom responded.
