A senior police officer has been arraigned over allegations of sexually abusing his juniors.
The officer was formerly attached to Dandora police station in Nairobi County
Samir Adhuman Yunus, a former OCS, was arraigned on Wednesday.

According to court documents, Yunus took advantage of his position of authority to sexually coerce an officer within the station’s premises on June 15, 2019.
Yunus was arrested on Monday amid allegations of abusing junior male and female officers and was detained at Capitol Hill Police Station.
There have been complaints from other officers in Dandora and Kamukunji police stations that he similarly used his position to harass them.
He was released on a cash bail of Ksh.200,000 or a bond of Ksh.500,000.
Early this week, a police officer was arraigned at a court in Narok on Monday, December 5 for allegedly defiling a minor who was under police custody after she was defiled elsewhere.
The suspect identified as constable Anthony Leiteipa Nanyukie attached to Sakutiek police station in Narok County was accused of defiling the 16-year-old on December 2, 2022.
Moreover, while appearing before Magistrate Samuel Mungai, the 50-year-old suspect pleaded not guilty, saying he did not defile the minor overnight as alleged.
According to reports, the minor had been taken to the police station in need of care and protection from the state when the incident occurred.
