A family in Naivasha is yet to come to terms with the deaths of their two sons who met their demise after quarrelling in a pub.
Witnesses say the two brothers were having a drink at a local pub in Kinungi village on the night of Wednesday, July 13 in Naivasha when they failed to agree on their bill.
The elder brother, 31-year-old Joseph Kagwima shot off his seat, took out a knife and stabbed his young brother Simon Kamau, 29, leaving for dead on the floor.
Kagwaima took off and upon nearing his home, used the same knife to slit his throat. He was pronounced dead on arrival at the Naivasha sub-county hospital where he had been rushed for medical attention.
A close relation to the brothers identified as Cecilia Wanjiru said Kagwima and Kamau were friends who always worked together.
Confirming the sad incident, area MCA Stanley Karanja said the deaths are a tragedy noting that Kagwima had two wives while his younger brother had a young family.
The bodies of the two were taken to the Naivasha sub-county hospital mortuary.
