Gospel artist Alex Apoko, popularly know as Ringtone has announced quitting the gospel industry for the secular one.
According to Kenyan women are making it hard for him to continue serving in the ministry.
Speaking during an interview on Radio Maisha he also claimed that Kenyan gospel musicians have so much pride.
The Pamela hitmaker, claimed that women kept following him and admiring his looks rather than following Christ
” I left the industry because Kenyan girls and women have a big problem, instead of following Jesus they are following me but I don’t want,” he said.
“They kept looking at me for how tall and handsome I am and my looks. My DMs were very hot,” he added.
He indicated that he has switched to singing love songs.
Early this year, Ringtone took to social media in search of a wife.
He claimed that despite having so much money he could not find a suitable woman to marry.
Ringtone had asked his fans to help him look for a wife.
At one point he claimed to be the chairman of the gospel music in Kenya.
Ringtone also blamed gospel artists for allegedly being jealous of his achievements.
“Some of them thought that I was the one taking their money,”
“I have left them so that they can plan themselves and grow fat,’’ he said.
