Jubilee Party has suspended Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni and Vice Chair David Murathe over gross misconduct.
The party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) also has suspended party National Treasurer Kagwe Gichohi.
The disciplinary cases lodged against them have been forwarded to the Internal Dispute Resolution Mechanism.
“That the Internal Dispute Resolution Mechanism be convened immediately to consider the matters of the suspended officials,” the NEC resolved.
In the interim, Eldas MP Adan Keynan has been appointed as the acting Vice Chairperson, to replace Murathe, while EALA MP Kanini Kega will act as Secretary General.
Kitui Women Rep Rachael Nyamai is the new national treasurer in acting capacity.
This is pending the outcome of the internal dispute resolution mechanism after hearing the cases against the expunged officials.

At the same time, jubilee’s NEC has initiated the party’s exit from the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya coalition.
Within six months, the party’s National Delegates Convention (NDC) is expected to ratify decision by the National Executive Committee to exit the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya.
“The National Executive Committee engages with the ruling coalition on the possibility of creating a working cooperation arrangement with it,” NEC stated.
Early this week, 32 Jubilee MPs broke ranks with the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya and joined hands with the President William Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza Alliance.
This followed a meeting with President Ruto and his deputy Rigathi Gachagua at State House Nairobi on Wednesday.
