The National Youth Service (NYS) has announced job opportunities for its graduates at a company based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE).

In a notice on June 4, NYS stated that 60 positions are available for trained fabricators, with a basic salary of approximately Ksh51,087.

The company will also provide a food allowance of 350 AED per month (Ksh12,367.49).

“Our client, a leading fabrication company based in Dubai, dealing with steel, structural and industrial fabrication, as well as pipe work for ship repair and rigging, has opportunities for NYS-trained fabricators who are eager to develop their skills overseas,” NYS announced.

Successful candidates will design, develop, and implement fabrication processes and procedures.

They will create and maintain detailed technical documentation.

The candidates will also read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and placement of steel structures and reinforcing bars.

Additionally, they will measure and cut steel bars to the required lengths using tools such as shears, torches, and saws.

Other responsibilities include bending and shaping steel bars using hand tools and machines.

They will also secure steel bars in concrete forms using wire clips or welds and install steel structures and reinforcing bars according to specifications and safety standards.

Candidates will collaborate with design engineers to optimise designs for manufacturability.

“This is your chance to work with top employers, gain international experience, and earn a salary,” NYS said.
