The National Youth Service (NYS) has announced job opportunities for its graduates in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) with a monthly basic salary of Ksh51,087.
In a notice on March 27, NYS said the Dubai based company has conveyed their deep appreciation for the caliber of the graduates after a successful second round of interviews and the subsequent onboarding of the applicants.

“They have scheduled the third round of practical interviews for April 4, 2025, with the aim of selecting an additional 50 fabricators to join the team in the UAE,” NYS said.

Successful candidates will receive a food allowance of 350 AED (Ksh12,325) per month.
In addition, they will design and optimize fabrication processes to enhance efficiency and reduce waste, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products.

They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new fabrication technologies and equipment upgrades that meet production demands
Duties & Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement fabrication processes and procedures.
- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and placement of steel structures and reinforcing bars.
- Measure and cut steel bars to the required length using tools such as shears, torches, and saws.
- Bend and shape steel bars using hand tools and machines.
- Secure steel bars in concrete forms using wire clips or welds.
- Install steel structures and reinforcing bars according to specifications and safety standards.
- Collaborate with design engineers to optimize designs for manufacturability

NYS Qualification & Requirements
- National Youth Service graduate.
- Diploma/Trade certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is essential for foundational knowledge.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on fabrication experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in metalworking or machining.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, to collaborate effectively with diverse team.
- Able to read and interpret blueprints, drawings.

Terms and Conditions
The employment period is a 2-year renewable in UAE.
The Company offers a Round-Trip Air Ticket every 2 years Economy Class (Kenya – UAE-Kenya).
However, the first-time air ticket from Kenya to UAF will be paid by Agent.
The Company also offers an employment and resident visa.
Additionally, the Employer provides accommodation, transport, uniform, PPES. and medical insurance.
It does not provide service charges and group life insurance and employers liability.
There will be training as per Employee Work Agreement with a 90-day probationary period from time the worker arrives in Dubai.
They will work eight hours per day for six days per week with overtime and other benefits according to labor Laws in UAE.
Employees will be entitled to 30 days leave per year, service gratuity and leave pay-and other terms and conditions as per UAE Labour Laws.
