TikTok star Azziad Nasenya has recalled a moment when she thought of committing suicide after her video went viral.
Speaking to Dr. Ofweneke on TV47, Azziad said cyberbullying pushed her into thinking of taking a break from social media and committing suicide.
The popular radio host and actress explained that she contemplated suicide after her “utawezana” challenge video went viral in 2020.
Azziad stated that she was living alone in a one-bedroom house at the fourth floor when experienced the online trolls.
“I remember I was alone, crying and in the middle of a lockdown. I literally went to my balcony, and I was like is this where God, you let me go? It was that bad, I thought of it, but I had a strong team,” said Azziad.
Further, she was not shocked that the video went viral since she had produced other content that went viral on Tik Tok.
She mentioned that many people asked her how she felt after the “utawezana” challenge went viral.
“It was already happening, so I was like this is just another one. The difference was that it went viral in our country, so it was different people knew so it escalated,” she said.

However, she said the video started receiving negative criticism a day after she posted it on TikTok.
“When people were sharing it, I was like okay this is cool then before you know it, things changed. This is after like a day or a day and half,” said the actress.

Sadly, the TiToker revealed that nobody empathized with her apart from her boyfriend, friends, and manager.
“In that moment I was just crying talking to my boyfriend and manager and they were telling me to relax just hang on. That is the time I was thinking of deleting my social media pages and committing suicide,” she said.

Also, she stated that her friends and manager talked to her on the phone that night and visited the next day.
According to Azziad, she was just a teenage doing something she had loved doing for the past one year.
She wondered why people got mad because she was dancing and having fun.
