Gospel musician Dar Mjomba’s mother has come out to plead with Kenyans to help her raise money to cater for his son’s hospital bills.
Mama Dar Mjomba revealed her son was admitted at the Mathari Hospital after a serious stretch of collapses and unconsciousness.
Speaking in an interview with Willy M Tuva, Mama Dar Mjomba disclosed her son’s tribulations began when he arrived home from prison.
According to Mama Dar Mjomba, her son was perfectly well before going to prison but cane out with the sad ailment.
Mama Dar Mjomba emotionally narrated how her son has been falling down and hurting himself.
The mum said the symptoms resembled epilepsy but doctors confirmed Dar Mjomba is not epileptic.
Doctors from Mathari Hospital, however, noted Dar Mjomba has been suffering from chronic depression.
The mum stated that doctors told her the singer’s problems came into existence because he did not receive counselling after being released from prison.
Dar Mjomba’s mother made it clear that doctors have stabilised her son but have advised he gets admitted to a rehab for three months to get help with his mental health.
The mum noted that the hospital requested for KSh 150,000 for the treatment, money she cannot raise on her own.
Dar Mjomba’s mum pleaded with the singer’s colleagues, friends, fans and other Kenyans to help her raise the amount for her son’s treatment.
“My son has been going through difficulties. He has been sick. He has been hurting himself when he falls. Doctors have helped him and advised he checks into a rehab where they will treat his depression. They ruled out epilepsy after analysis. They asked for KSh 150,000 which is the bill for Dar’s three months’ rehabilitation. I am pleading with Kenyans to help me raise the amount so that we can help our son,” Mama Dar Mjomba said.
She also left her MPESA number through which Kenyans of Goodwill can channel in their donations:

The latest development unfolded barely six months after Dar Mjomba was released from prison.
Unconfirmed reports earlier indicated he had been arrested for allegedly abusing a minor.
Fellow musicians, especially those in the gospel industry fought so hard to ensure his release.
At first, news about Dar Mjomba’s case had been kept under wraps but was first made public by Weezdom.
Then, Weezdom called on all Kenyan artists to get involved as they tried to save one of their own from the shackles.
