Jamaica’s Etana Lands in Nairobi Ahead of Show

Jamaican reggae artist Etana has arrived in Nairobi for her series of performances around the country.

The series of shows named ‘The Pamoja Tour’ is set to take place in major cities in Kenya beginning with Nairobi, Mombasa, Eldoret, Nanyuki and Meru.

The reggae artist will begin her tour in Nanyuki Town on December 6, 2024, at the Moran Lounge starting from 7 PM before heading to Kenya’s capital.

Etana will then perform in Nairobi on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at the ASK- The Dome in  Jamhuri Park showground.

Other towns where Etana will perform

From Nairobi, Etana heads to Mombasa on December 11, 2024, where she will be performing at the Volume VIP club from 7 PM to 5 AM

On December 13, 2024, Etana will perform at the BVB lounge in Meru, and she will conclude her tour at the Eldoret city. Here, reggae fans will be treated to a show at the Banyias Square.

Etana, otherwise known as ‘The Strong One’ will be accompanied by artists from Kenya including Wyre, Double Trouble and DJ Boom.

Ticket prices

Regular advance tickets for the shows are going for Kshs.2000, VIP goes for 4000 while VVIP tickets are going for Kshs. 6000. For the fans who wish to purchase tickets at the gate, regular tickets are going for Kshs.2500, VIP at Kshs. 5000 and VVIP at Kshs. 8000.

Etana last came to Kenya in November 2021 for the Pamoja festival. She performed in Nairobi at the Waterfront and at the Ngong Racecourse. She featured local artists including Wyre, Gravitt band, Double Trouble and Kriss Darlin.

Etana whose real name is Shauna McKenzie was born on May 1984 in Kingston, Jamaica. She made her breakthrough in music following the release of her album ‘The Strong One’ in 2008.

She has been nominated twice for the Best Reggae Album Grammy Awards for her albums Reggae forever and Pamoja
