Many politicians all over the world are known for their rich taste in flamboyant lifestyle.
Locally, they are famous for flaunting expensive fuel guzzlers and other material things.
While most love the good things that come with life, some are humble and are not into fancy things.
Newly-elected Kilifi North MP Owen Baya happens to fall in the latter category.
The humble legislator on Thursday, September 8, confirmed the aforementioned after arriving at the Parliament buildings in a modest car.
Unlike his colleagues who arrived for the swearing in ceremony in big machines, Owen Baya checked in while being driven in a Toyota Vitz.
The Kenya Times understands his move impressed the journalist covering the arrivals who were forced to ask why he chose to use a small car.
A jovial Owen Baya disclosed he loves a simple life and that is his style.
“I like this. This is my style. This is a great day for Kenya. I am excited,” Owen Baya said.
Video of the MP’s humble arrival made rounds on social in a move that touched the hearts of many netizens.
Hordes of people congratulated and heaped praises on the MP as they urged him to maintain his humility.
