Four people have been confirmed dead and their bodies recovered from Moi Barracks Eldoret in a suspected attack by officers from the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF).
The bodies of three of the deceased were recovered on Sunday, November 26, while one of them passed away as he was being rushed to hospital.
According to police reports, the attack on the four individuals occurred on November 25 night after they sneaked into a Ngano Maize farm belonging to KDF.
Additionally, it was noted that the maize had already been harvested and the four may have been there to collect whatever remained.
Locals discovered the remains in a deep dug ditch near the KDF land’s boundary.

Details of the Attack by KDF Officers
According to the police, the four succumbed from the injuries inflicted by the attack suspected to have been executed by KDF officers.
Allegedly, the officers cornered and beat the four leaving them for dead.
Also, the victims had injuries on their back sides and heads as well as additional bruises all over their bodies.
Uproar by Residents Over the Attack
Residents of Kamagut blocked police officers from collecting two bodies from the scene out of anger. They demanded that the officers who attacked the men face the law.
According to them, the officers get away with attacks and injustice while they continue to die and suffer at their hands.

At the same time, they lamented that the officers should have arrested the four and taken legal action instead of killing them.
On the other hand, police from Kamagut police post were able to take one of the bodies to MTRH mortuary as investigations into the matter continue.
Notably, officers from the Kenya Defence Forces were yet to issue an official statement on the matter by the time this article was written.
