Rwandan media landscape has welcomed a new player Eugene Anangwe, formerly the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of KM Look UP Media Ltd in Kenya as a media executive.
Anangwe ventured into the Rwandan vibrant market as the CEO and founder of the East Africa Media Group (EAMG).
Also, Anangwe has been serving as the Rwanda country manager at CNBC Africa since May 2022 and he brings a wealth of experience to his latest endeavor.
“I am looking for two individuals with aspirations of becoming the next big thing in TV presenting/anchoring based in Rwanda (Male and female) to work with in a personal project I am developing,” Anangwe posted on his X account.

Prior to his current role, he held the position of CEO at KM Look UP Media Ltd from August 2020 to May 2022.

Journalism Journey
His journey in the media industry spans over a decade, with Anangwe having worked as an English news broadcaster and TV host in various Rwandan media houses since 2008.
Notably, he made his mark as the host of “Debate 411,” an English TV show that garnered popularity on Rwanda Television (RTV) and Contact TV between 2013 and 2016.
Anangwe’s early career saw him clear his internship as a radio broadcaster at Waumini FM in Kenya in 2006.
Over the years, he transitioned into television, becoming one of the pioneers of English news at TV 10 Rwanda in 2013.
His significant contributions include hosting high-profile personalities on “In Focus Talk Show” during his tenure at Rwanda Broadcasting Agency, where he served as a producer and moderator.

CEO Roles
In February 2019, Anangwe took on the role of founding CEO at Cape Media Ltd, an affiliate of Mount Kenya University known for launching and managing TV47 Kenya and Radio 47 Kenya.
Furthermore, his leadership was instrumental in establishing TV 47 Kenya stations.
Leaving Cape Media Ltd in August 2020, Anangwe assumed the position of CEO at KM Look UP Media Ltd.
Here, he oversaw the operations and management of Look UP TV and Muthingi TV until May 2022.

Now, as the founder and CEO of EAMG, he spearheads various projects, including EAMG TV, EAMG Radio, and The Anangwe Mentorship Program.
Anangwe’s decision to launch this station in Rwanda marks a strategic move, bringing his extensive media expertise to contribute to the dynamic media landscape of the country.
As the founder and CEO of his media group, Anangwe aims to make a lasting impact in the East African region with his diverse array of projects.
