Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has cautioned Azimio la Umoja one Kenya Coalition against resuming their weekly demonstrations.
This is after Opposition chief Raila Odinga announced that they will resume the protests after the holy month of Ramadan.
According to the prime CS, the move by Raila and his troops is aimed at causing chaos and disorder. Adding that it is a recipe which could plunge the country into political uncertainty.
While speaking in Mombasa on Sunday, April 17, Mudavadi called on politicians to restrain themselves from driving the country back into dark days as witnessed in the post-election violence of 2007/2008.
“I want to tell Azimio, please do not try and wish a revisitation of ICC on Kenya. You are provoking Kenyans, trying to instigate chaos and trying to create a spark that will lead into disruptions of normalcy. President Ruto and many Kenyans have restrained themselves trying to ensure the country remains peaceful,” said Mudavadi.
Furthermore, Mudavadi opined that the demands by Azimio are not honest and realistic, noting that they are instead a deceptive tactic to disrupt the plan for Kenya Kwanza to work for the people.

“When you say the servers must be opened, why are you forgetting and taking Kenyans for a fool. The Supreme Court ordered that the servers be opened, and the Registrar of the Supreme Court led that exercise under the watch of Lawyers from both Azimio and Kenya Kwanza. What new thing do you want?” posed Mudavadi.
In addition, Mudavadi said Kenyans are currently facing tough times and engaging in meaningless demonstrations is causing the country a lot of negative impact as far as economic progress is concerned.
“You cannot overtax Kenyans. They also need to breathe. If you plan demonstrations, will you be able to compensate those who lose property that adds up to millions and millions of Kenya shillings?” Mudavadi posed.
