Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition has unveiled a five-member team to lead its talks with Kenya Kwanza Coalition.
In a statement on Monday, July 31, Azimio named Wiper Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka as the delegation leader, and Minority party leader Opiyo Wandayi.
Others are DAP party leader Eugene Wamalwa, Senator Nyamira County Okongo Omogeni and Malindi Member of Parliament Amina Mnyanzi.

In the statement, Azimio affirmed their commitment to dialogue with Kenya Kwanza for a speedy and sustainable resolution to the country’s problems.
Moreover, the opposition stated that they will respect issues that will be raised by the Kenya Kwanza team and except the same treatment of their issues.
“Our position remains that no party to these negotiations can claim a right to determine for the other what to raise and what not to raise. Azimio will respect Kenya Kwanza’s right to bring all its issues to the table. We expect Kenya Kwanza to do the same with our issues.” Reads the statement in part.

Furthermore, the Raila Odinga-led coalition noted that they are keen on a time bound program of talks that should take one month beginning August 1, 2023.
Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition and the ruling Kenya Kwanza Coalition on Saturday, July 29 agreed to have talks aimed at resolving the current situation in the country.
Under the agreement, a ten-member committee constituting five members from each coalition would take part in the talks.
These would include four members from outside Parliament – two from each side- leaders of Majority and Minority from the National Assembly and four additional Members of Parliament -two from each side.
