President William Ruto has reiterated his government’s commitment on ending extra-judicial killings in the country.
Ruto wants the Independent Police Oversight Authority (IPOA) to furnish the Ministry of Interior and Coordination with a roadmap on how to deal conclusively with the vice.

The President spoke on Monday at State House, Nairobi, when he met IPOA to discuss their mandate.
Recently, Ruto disbanded the DCI Special Service Unit (SSU).
The dreaded unit has been blamed for orchestrating forced disappearances and killings in the country.
Four DCI detectives who were serving under SSU are facing charges of kidnapping two Indian IT experts ahead of the August general election.
The four officers are however crying foul terming their prosecution as politically motivated.
This comes barely a week after the authority released names of over 80 missing persons whose disappearances remain unclear.
IPOA says that majority of forced disappearances are from Nairobi.
President Ruto has ordered investigations into the operations of the disbanded hit squad.
Additionally,Ruto has promised that all those found to be part of forced disappearances and executions will be charged.
