The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) has permitted four taxi companies to operate after they updated their licenses and registration.
NTSA Director General George Njao in a statement released on Monday, October 31 stated that the four companies have been licensed to operate as transport network companies.
The companies given the green light include Yego Mobility Limited, Little Limited, Uber BV and Bolt Operations.
“In carrying out its mandate and in line with the requirements of the NTSA Transport Network Companies Drivers and Passenger Rules 2022, the following companies have been licensed to operate as transport network companies,” part of the statement reads.

The approval follows a statement by Njao on October 26, noting that NTSA had received applications from six companies that were then put under review.
“The Authority has so far received six applications and they are all at the validation stage prior to licensing of successful applicants,” Njao had earlier on stated.
