Government officials have continued to bear the brunt of people’s displeasure with the Kenya Kwanza administration. While attending the Korom Festival in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County, Sports Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen cut short his speech after a hostile crowd heckled him.
The CS went on stage and danced along to the music before addressing revelers. The music then faded down to give him a chance to make his speech. No sooner had he began his address than the crowd began to chant, ‘Ruto Must Go’.
Murkomen faces backlash from revelers
“I want to say congratulations to those who have performed, as ministry,” began the CS before being cut short.
He then continued making remarks that could not be heard amidst the chants, forcing him to end his speech.
