A middle-aged man has reportedly killed his 3-year-old daughter before taking his own life in Machakos.
The man is said to have slit his daughter’s throat with a knife before hanging himself in their house.
The incident happened in Misakwani, Mumbuni ,Machakos county.
Confirming the incident, Misakwani assistant Chief Alice Musau has said the reason behind the deceased’s actions has not yet been established.

“We received the information at 11 am that a man aged 35 years hanged himself in his house after killing his 3-year-old daughter,” said the Chief .
The Chief added that the man’s wife’s whereabouts are not yet known but a manhunt has started as she is needed to assist police with investigations.
Police in Machakos have visited the crime scene and started investigating the cause of the heinous act.
