The Public Service Commission (PSC) has announced internship opportunities in government ministries, departments, and agencies.
In a notice on Tuesday, July 25, PSC announced 8,000 vacancies for cohort 6 interns under the Public Service Internship Programme (PSIP) for the Financial Year 2023/2024.
The non-renewable internship opportunity will run for 12 months.
Moreover, successful candidates will be paid a stipend at a rate determined by the government.
Qualifications for Appointment
To qualify for the internship opportunity, candidates are required to have the following qualifications.
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university
- Graduated not earlier than the year 2017
- Be proficient in computer skill

In addition, PSC stated the duties and responsibilities of the interns including completing duties mutually agreed upon and assigned by the supervisors, and documenting relevant skills acquired in their areas of deployment.
Others are actively participating in any relevant mentorship activities and additional responsibilities designed for the programme.
However, the interns will not be limited to the aforementioned duties and responsibilities.
After successfully completing the internship programme, the Public Service Commission will award them a certificate.

Interested and qualified graduates are requested to make their applications through the Public Service Commission’s job portal.
The portal is accessible through www.publicservice.go.ke or www.psckjobs.go.ke
The application deadline is 14th August 2023.
