Lucy Muthoni Kambuni, SC, was born on January 17, 1961, in Kenya.
She attended Alliance Girls’ High School in Kenya for her secondary and advanced-level education, completing her O-levels between 1974 and 1977 with a division 1, earning 13 points.
Between 1978 and 1979, she pursued A-level education, achieving three principal subjects and one subsidiary, amassing 16 points.
From 1980 to 1984, she was at the University of Nairobi, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) with Second Class Honours, Upper Division.
In 1985, at the Kenya School of Law, she obtained a Diploma Certificate in Law.
The senior counsel completed professional training at the renowned firm Kaplan & Stratton Advocates in Nairobi, between 1984 and 1985.
