Roots party presidential candidate George Wajackoyah insists he is in the race to win.
Despite provisional results showing that the acclaimed lawyer-turned-politician won’t make it in his bid to the house on the hill, the candidate remains upbeat about his dream.
In a statement on Sunday, August 14, Wajackoyah, through Roots party secretary-general Adam Kadernani, said he ‘will win through a free, fair and credible process.’
He urged Kenyans to maintain peace as the tallying of the presidential results continues at Bomas of Kenya in Nairobi.
The Roots party boss said he will give a detailed statement after the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) announces the final results.
“As you are aware, our Presidential Candidate Prof George Wajackoyah is one among four Kenyans who are seeking the highest office in the land to transform our country and make Kenya an economic giant. The first phase was exercised by the citizenry, and the second phase by the IEBC, the body constitutionally mandated to tally the votes and announce a winner.
