Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja has acquired new vehicles for the city council officers, also known as ‘Kanjos’.
Speaking to the press, Sakaja said to ease mobility and ensure quality service delivery, the officers (Kanjos) will ride in Isuzu double-cab pickups to replace the old vans they used to hang on while chasing hawkers in the city.
The governor was speaking in Nairobi during the flagging-off ceremony where 17 pick-ups were unveiled.

“We said we want to give them dignity, but dignity starts with how we treat ourselves and how we treat you, the people of Nairobi,” the county head said.
