The former president of the United States, Donald J Trump, made an appearance in a courtroom in New York on Tuesday afternoon to hear the allegations that had been brought against him by the Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg and read in court by Judge Juan Merchan.
Trump entered a plea of not guilty to 34 felony charges.
The indictment, which was announced on Thursday last week and unsealed on Tuesday 4th 2023, includes charges of falsifying business records and other counts in connection with a hush payment that Trump’s former fixer, Michael Cohen, made to adult film star Stormy Daniels shortly before the election in 2016.

The charges were announced last week on Thursday, and the indictment was unsealed on Tuesday 4th, 2023.
