Public Service Cabinet Secretary Justin Muturi will be fired from the government. National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wa has confirmed.
In an interview with Al Jazeera’s Mehdi Hasan, Ichung’wa said that the former Attorney General was removed from that position with reason.

While Ichung’wa failed to explain or reveal the reasons why Muturi was ousted as attorney general, he said that the CS was in bad standing with President William Ruto and his government.
At the same time, the National Assembly majority leader stated that Justin Muturi was on his way out of the government, and he was already aware of it.

“There are reasons why Justin Muturi was removed as attorney general around the time of the demonstrations in June of last year. There are reasons probably why Justin Muturi knows that he is probably on his way out,” said Ichung’wa.

Moreover, while responding to the question of whether the government was responsible for the abduction of the son of the CS, he said that those were allegations from Muturi.
“It is him who has made those allegations, and that is a matter under investigation,” said the MP.

Muturi Against Ruto
Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua claimed on January 23 that Muturi had received threats from the head of state after being heckled in Embu county while delivering a condolence message from the president. was rejected in Embu County.
The former DP was referring to an incident at the burial of Eric Mutugi Kivuti, son of former Embu Senator Lenny Kivuti.
“The President sent threatening messages to Muturi at night accusing him of making his speech being rejected in Embu at a Funeral,” Gachagua said.

“This is a very serious matter. It should take the anger of this country because why are we kidnapping young boys and girls only to be found killed later? What Kind of a country are we and we are pretending to be solving matters in the DRC?” he posed.
“This is a very serious issue; the number of people that have died are so many that it should prick the conscience of any right-thinking leader in this country.”
