Lawyer Dr. Miguna Miguna and Political Analyst Mutahi Ngunyi were on Saturday, January 6, involved in a bitter war of words.
Taking to their X accounts, the two prominent individuals made various accusations with an aim of shutting each other down.
It all started when Miguna downplayed a post by Ngunyi commenting on the stalemate between President William Ruto and the Judiciary.
Responding to the post, Miguna said that Ngunyi was not qualified to advice anyone citing past cases where the analyst was implicated.
“You didn’t participate in the struggle for democracy. It wasn’t a struggle by Moi, KANU or the Executive against the judiciary. It was a struggle by patriots against the Moi/KANU tyranny that you played guitars to. So, shut up,” Miguna commented on Ngunyi’s post.
In addition, the lawyer claimed that accepting Ngunyi’s advice to crackdown on the Judiciary would be a suicidal move by the President.
In a subsequent post, Miguna claimed that the move would see an end to Ruto’s reign.
Ngunyi Fires Back
However, Miguna’s post irked Prof Ngunyi who in turn blocked the lawyer on X.
But Miguna persisted his posts attacking Ngunyi- all this time without a public response by the political analyst.
Ngunyi would later on Saturday evening come out with a firm warning threatening to sue Miguna both in Kenya and Canda where he is based.

Miguna Ready for Court Case
In his reply, Miguna said he is ready to face Ngunyi both in Kenya and Canada.
He threatened to sue Miguna for calling him a thief without proof and ensure that the lawyer’s property is auctioned to pay for the reparations.
“Miguna, I offered to mentor you. You abused me. I figured you have a loose wire, and it is in your tounge. If you call me a thief again without evidence, I will sue you in Kenya and Canada. Then I will have your Runda House auctioned. I have the LR number, details and means,” said Ngunyi.

“Try me. Go ahead and sue. I need to clean the High Court of Kenya and Ontario Superior Court of Justice floors with your KIWI painted scalp. We are ready to recover and restore all the public funds you stole from us from 1995 to 2022!” said Miguna.
