Azimio la Umoja One Kenya leader Raila Odinga has announced that the anti-government protests will be held every Monday and Thursday from next week.
While addressing the press at the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Foundation in Nairobi on Tuesday, March 21, Raila Odinga described the demonstrations held on Monday, March 20 in Nairobi, and other parts of the country as “immensely successful”.
He however, faulted police officers for the chaotic and violent scenes witnessed during yesterday’s demonstrations.
Moreover, the opposition chief reported that two people died during the protests.

Likewise, Odinga stated that there was an attempt on his life and that of Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka by police who allegedly shot at their vehicles
“Many of the demonstrators got hurt and at least two innocent Kenyans got hurt by the police. We pass our sincere condolences to the families that lost their loved ones to police brutality. We will stand with those families in all ways including pursuing justice for their loved ones,” said Odinga.
Nonetheless, Azimio supporters have been demonstrating in honour of opposition leader Raila Odinga’s call for mass actions.
The opposition team is pushing for changes in how the Kenya Kwanza government is running the country.
As such, they are demanding for a fresh selection of IEBC commissioners, the cost of living lowered and for President Ruto to remove punitive taxes among other complaints.
