Kenyan football giants Gor Mahia FC are seeking a new head coach.
This follows the exit of Andreas Spier last week.
Club chairman Ambrose Rachier said they have received over 20 applications for the position.
Spier parted ways with Gor last week.
Rachier said the club seeks to have a new boss in place before the start of the new season in August.
Last season Spier led Gor to finishing third in the league behind champions Tusker FC and Kakamega Homeboyz who were second on goal difference.
Rachier said that work for the new coach is cut out.
He insisted the immediate job for the incoming head coach is to win back the title for Gor.
Kogalo have now gone two seasons without league success.
This comes a day after the club landed a new sponsorship deal with a betting company
The three-year deal will include shirt sponsorship, and players insurance
Gor is currently serving a FIFA imposed ban on signing of foreign players.
This according to Racheir has affected the performance of the club in the past season.
The ban is expected to be lifted in January 2023.
Financial challenges in the club saw a host of some of its top talents walk out in search of greener pastures.
