The U.S has alleged that there is no likelihood of an understanding between Ukraine and Russia, urging Ukraine to withdraw its troops from the Donetsk region.
According to the report by the Ukrainska Pravda, the ongoing talks headed by the President Donald Trump, between the US, Russia, and Ukraine on how to resolve the conflict, are likely to fail.
The US has stated that failure of action by Ukraine will lead to the US withdrawal from the negotiation to concentrate on the military operation in Iran.
“The Americans do not see where we can agree on the main issue. And this can force them to withdraw from the process altogether, switch to Iran, to their elections, and so on. They are even ready to give us real security guarantees if we withdraw from Donbas. But I can’t imagine how to implement it in Ukraine,” a member of the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy team stated.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has rejected the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from eastern Donbas, stating that they cannot withdraw from a Ukrainian territory that is a defensive line for the country.
Ukraine has expressed concern about the Russian Federation’s agreement with Trump, citing that the agreement between Russia and the US hinders the negotiation progress with Ukraine.
Additionally, a member of Zelenskyy’s team stated that, although the negotiations involve the three states, the United States holds the upper hand.
“It feels like there are three sides, but Ukraine is arguing with ‘Anchorage,’” another source said. “No matter what we discuss, it always comes back to the Americans saying: ‘Leave Donbas and we’ll build a paradise for you, as agreed in Alaska,” Zelenskyy’s team stated.
Zelenskyy stated that the focus and attention of the US was primarily on the war in Iran, but the war against Ukraine by the Russians needed to be brought to an end.

Ukraine’s Stand on the US Negotiations
The head of the Ukrainian delegation, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov, said that representatives of Ukraine and the United States in Florida continued to discuss further steps within the negotiation track on March 22.
Following the meetings between the team of Ukraine and the United States, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced signals about the possible continuation of exchanges between Ukraine and the Russian Federation.
Separate trilateral talks between Russia, the United States, and Ukraine are currently on hold, as confirmed by the Kremlin spokesperson, Dmitry Peskov, and the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Heorhiy Tykhy, on March 19.

Ukraine Funding Crises
As the war continues to escalate, Ukraine remains dependent on financial support from its allies. According to Ukrainian, the Europeans have stated that funding will be provided and that they will find a way around Hungary’s opposition.
However, the country has been working on managing its current budget as they wait for the action from the EU.
Failure by the EU to provide funding will leave Ukraine without sufficient funds for social payments, as the funds available by the second half of the year will go to the armed forces, according to Zelenskyy’s team.
Ukraine’s failure to implement reforms needed to unlock almost $4 billion in World Bank and EU loans has put the country on track to lose access to some earmarked funds permanently.
Kyiv also has until the end of March to pass a series of unpopular tax increases required under a new $8 billion International Monetary Fund (IMF) program.
Additionally, Ukraine has to finalize the reforms required to unlock $3.35 billion in funding from the World Bank’s Development Policy Operation (DPO) program before the April 20 deadline.
