Profile of the School
Dr. Aggrey High School, Wundanyi, in Taita Taveta County, traces its origins to the post-independence period.
The school was named after James Emman Kwegyir Aggrey, a Ghanaian educationist and missionary whose philosophy stressed that education should be accessible to all, including girls.
During the 1970s and 1980s, the school gradually expanded, with the construction of more permanent classrooms replacing temporary structures.
Government support increased the number of teachers, while enrollment steadily rose as more students completed primary education.
