Presidential aspirants whose bid were rejected by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission(IEBC) are threatening to move to court to stop the August 9 polls.
The aspirants say they will move to court if their concerns are not addressed by (IEBC).
Thirdway Alliance Party leader Ekuru Aukot wants IEBC to comply with High Court ruling which declared the requirement that independent candidates submit copies of their supporters’ IDs unconstitutional.
“If they still continue with this, we will go back to court,” said Aukot.
Aukot wants the election to be put on hold until October to give IEBC more time to address their concerns.
“Article 137 is very clear, and we want this election to be done according to the Constitution,” he said.
Aukot was among the presidential aspirants who moved to court to challenge the move by IEBC to block them .
