The presidential debate secretariat has said the debate set to take place tomorrow will proceed despite Azimio presidential candidate Raila Odinga’s move to abscond.

The debate will take place at the Catholic University of Eastern Africa’s main campus in Karen.
Machoka observed that the Presidential Debates Secretariat 2022 has taken note of the positions taken by the two leading coalitions.
The Kenya Kwanza coalition has said they will take part in the debate
Raila on the other hand will hold a town hall meeting in Jericho Nairobi at the same time the debate will be taking place.
The Odinga campaign secretariat said that debating DP Ruto “is not a good idea”.
Roots Party presidential candidate George Wajackoyah has also threatened not to attend the debate
Wajackoyah wants all candidates to debate on the same platform.
He wants to be allowed to debate alongside Odinga and Ruto.
The secretariat has paired Wajackoyah with Agano party’s presidential candidate David Mwaure in the first-tier debate
The second-tier debate was to feature Raila against Ruto.
Ruto has accused Raila of being a coward and chickening out of the debate
