Francis Gachuri is a Kenyan journalist who previously worked as a reporter and political editor at Citizen TV. He currently works in the Office of Deputy President Kithure Kindiki.
Age and Early Life
Francis Gachuri was born in 1980 in Banana, Kiambu County. He is the son of a single mother. Despite facing challenges during his upbringing, he was determined to succeed in life. He has a deep appreciation for the role models that have shaped his life positively during his upbringing.

He started his School life at Karuri Nursery. He later he joined Karuri Primary where he did his Kenya Certificate of Primary Education exams.
Young Gachuri would later join Senior Chief Koinange High School, where he attained his Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education in 1999.
Having completed his Secondary education, he joined Moi University where he studied Linguistics and Literature from 2001 to 2005.
Career Background
Gachuri is currently working in the Office of the Deputy President Kithure Kindiki as Head of Communication, Interior.
He previously worked at Royal Media Service for 16 years, showcasing excellence in news reporting and hosting.
“On September 1, 2007, I joined RMS as a political reporter. 5,660 days later, I announce my exit to take up another national assignment. I am grateful and humbled by the many experiences, lessons, and opportunities I have had in the industry,” he said in a meeting, biding his colleagues farewell.

His career journey started when he joined KBC in 2006, later proceeding to Royal Media Service where he served a long-term career in 2007.
Francis Gachuri was Citizen’s TV Political Editor and a host of Inooro TV in a political talk show called “Kiririmbi.”
Additionally, he was part of the commentary show, “News Gang” where he displayed his journalistic prowess.

Family
Francis Gachuri is married and has three children, of whom he takes great pride. Interestingly, together with his wife, they joined Senior Chief Koinange High School, marking their first meeting.
