Blankets and Wine was started in 2008 as to platform for the promotion, celebration, and exposure of emerging live Kenyan music and has, in the past years, evolved and grown to an Africa-wide, multi-disciplinary platform.
This will be the first of the four planned editions of the event, with the consecutive one following up on 2nd July 21st, October, and December 17th, respectively. The confirmed event venue is Laureate Garden, within (the Home of Heroes) Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani.
While discussing the venue, Muthoni the Drummer Queen said that Kasarani is the only venue to handle what she has in store for her fans. In addition, she said that Kasarani is equipped with world-class amenities such as the police station, ample and secure parking, and close proximity to the road, making it the most ideal of all the venues she scouted.
Xenia Manasseh, Lisa Oduor, Boutross, and Kinoti Max will also perform at the event, now considered East Africa’s premium music Festival. Music aside, food, craft, and fashion make a big attraction to the event.
