Comedian Kimutai Ruto aka Propesa has once again left his fans in stitches with his latest skit on the Sunday December 10 night nationwide blackout while also incorporating President William Ruto’s frequent travels abroad.
In a viral video shared on his X account moments after the Sunday blackout, Propesa is seen acting as a flight controller at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).
Further, Propesa who wore a luminous green reflector pretends to be directing pilots taking off from the runway in the dark.
Propesa’s accomplice is seen holding a spotlight directing a pilot of a flight that is seemingly trapped in the darkness.
Propesa Mimics Ruto Foreign Trips
However, the most hilarious part of the skit was when Propesa instructed his accomplice to go to the other end of the runway and shine the light for a special plane that was carrying the president, who was leaving the country.

“Enda mulikia ule pilot awashe ya president anatoka sahii,” said Propesa.
The statement loosely translates to,” Go to the other side and shine the light for our president. He is leaving the country.”
JKIA Power Outage Adress
Meanwhile, Sunday’s power outage occurred at around 8pm resulting to a public outcry considering it is the third national blackout that has affected JKIA.
In a statement, Kenya Power said the outage was a result of a suspected fault affecting the power system.
However, according to Transport Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen the power outage is as a result of possible acts of sabotage following recent power outages at the Countries major Airport.
As such, CS Murkomen called on the police to investigate possible acts of sabotage and coverup following constant power outages at the JKIA, the recent one being Sunday, December 11.

This is after standby generators at the busy international airport failed to restore power immediately at terminals 1A and 1E.
“Considering the frequency of the power disruption and taking into account the fact that JKIA is a facility of strategic national importance, we are making a formal request to the National Police Service to investigate possible acts of sabotage and coverup,” he stated.
