Revered musician Smart Djaba has given his fans every reason to celebrate after announcing his comeback.
Smart Djaba, who was born and raised in North Kivu, DR Congo has made it public that he will be releasing his much-awaited Extended Play, otherwise known as EP soon.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with The Kenya Times, Smart Djaba disclosed he is super excited to be back and cannot wait to give his fans a treat of their lives with the upcoming EP.
Asked about the name of his upcoming EP, Smart Djaba said he would love to keep the name under wraps in a bid to surprise his fans.
“I am super excited. My EP is ready and will be dropping soon. I don’t want to share many details, including the name, because I want it to be a surprise to my fans. I had indeed missed them,” Smart Djaba said.
News of his comeback is clearly good news to his fans who have been following his craft since his time at the Kakuma Refugee Camp.
It should be noted that Smart Djaba arrived at the Kakuma Refugee Camp in 2011.
In 2012, the singer who doubles up as a songwriter entered and won a music competition organised and sponsored by LWF (Lutheran World Federation) an NGO associate to the U.N.H.C.R (United Nations High Commissionaire for Refugee).

Since then, the musician has made several collaborations with several artists both locally and internationally.
The Kenya Times understands Smart Djaba has worked with the likes of Kenyan hip hop star Octopizzo , South Sudan hip hop artist Emmanuel Jal, American hip hop artist Just Q and Congolese native hip hop artist King Moses just to but to name a few.
Smart Djaba has also worked as a talents’ manager who founded Afro Stars (African Stars); which is a unified body of musicians, dance crews, urban and traditional, filmmakers, writers, actors, models, and art designers representing several countries in the east Africa region.
The purpose of Afro Stars is to make available a platform for talented refugees to tell their stories to the communities of the world via the expression and promotion of their gifts.
