Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Muthoni Passaris has retained her seat for the hotly contested race.
Passaris who contested under an ODM ticket garnered 698,929 votes.
Moreover, her main rival Millicent Omanga of UDA followed in second with a total of 586,246 votes.
While speaking after receiving her clearance certificate from the Nairobi County Returning Officer, Passaris promised to devotedly serve the people of Nairobi.
She further thanked her supporters for electing her Nairobi Woman Representative.
Likewise, she lauded Kenyans for keeping calm during the elections and urged them to remain steadfast even after the presidential winner is announced.
“I want to thank everyone in my Azimio team and all the voters in Nairobi. We will work tirelessly to serve all of you. When we get into office we will only care on delivering the promises we made and we are guided by the manifesto of the Azimio family,” Passaris stated.
“We are grateful to all of you for maintaining the peace during the election period and we pray that the same peace will be maintained even after the president is announced.” She added.

Furthermore, other aspirants who lost in the race are Monica Gitau with 17,811 votes, Delvin Moraa (7,832), Mary Musuki (5,383) and Brenda Kangai (7,018)
