Anti-riot police officers were deployed at the Bomas of Kenya to the tallying hall on Saturday, August 12 night following disorderliness by agents of presidential aspirants.
Moreover, agents of Raila Odinga’s Azimio and William Ruto’s UDA resorted to a shouting match at the national tallying center.
The teams accused each other of vote manipulation, and almost stalled the vote-tallying process.
Likewise, the drama almost resulted into a fist fight between agents of the two camps after Saitabao ole Kanchory, the Chief agent of Azimio presidential aspirant was blocked from accessing the tallying area.
As a result, a shouting match arose, with the leaders hurling insults at each other to the shock of the IEBC officials, who have been tallying votes since Thursday night.
Nonetheless, IEBC has until Tuesday, August 16 to release final results of the presidential vote as required by law.
“I want to declare that this place is now a crime scene,” Kanchory, who forcefully made his way into the tallying area, said.
Furthermore, Kanchory moved to one of the counting desks and ejected a clerk whom they accused of changing forms of the constituency’s results.
“Arrest him. Arrest him,” the Azimio leaders could be heard chanting.
Nevertheless, anti-riot police officers were deployed in the tallying area to restore order.
In addition, the situation worsened after the Azimio leaders spotted an official wearing a face mask with a fake accreditation.
Moreover, the commotion flared up, with IEBC Commissioner Francis Wanderi dashing to the podium to call for order.
“Please let us all sit down and allow the exercise to continue,” Wanderi stated.
Additionally, Senator Kithure Kindiki, the leading agent of Deputy President William Ruto had difficulty rallying his troops to maintain order.

“Let us maintain order and be silent,” Kindiki could be heard shouting.
Furthermore, the two leading opposing teams continues with accusations of mistrust coupled with the suspicious activity of rigging of votes. Hence, the deployment of anti-riot police officers.
