The Environment and Land Court has ordered Pioneer Girls’ School to vacate the premises by December 10, 2025.
According to a notice dated Thursday, December 11, 2025, the court stated that its decision is final and that the school must cease operations on the property with immediate effect.
“TAKE NOTICE THAT pursuant to the decree issued on 10th July 2025 by the Environment and Land Court in Nairobi Environment and Land Case Number 1245 of 2015 Del Monte Kenya Limited versus Goshen Gardens Limited and Pioneer International Schools Limited, the court issued a mandatory injunction compelling the PIONEER GIRLS SCHOOL to vacate Land Reference Number 12157/2 on 10th December 2025” read part of the statement.
However, parents and guardians of Pioneer Girls’ School have been advised to take note of the court order.
“This is to inform parents, guardians, students, and all concerned stakeholders to take note of this development and of the court decree. All stakeholders are advised to make appropriate arrangements consistent with the court decree, “read part of the statement.
Pioneer Girls’ School Land Dispute with Del Monte Kenya
The court confirmed that the property situated in Gatanga sub-county belongs to Del Monte Kenya Limited and that Del Monte should reclaim the property.
“Accordingly, PIONEER GIRLS SCHOOL is required to grant vacant possession of Land Reference Number 12157/2 situated in Gatanga Sub-County, to Del Monts Kenya Limited on 10th December 2025 in compliance with the said decree, “read part of the statement.
Del Monte Kenya Limited had initiated legal proceedings to reclaim the property after the previous occupants continued to operate on the land despite ownership disputes.
The land dispute between Pioneer School and Del Monte Kenya started in 2015.
In September 2013, Del Monte leased about 75 acres to Goshen Gardens Ltd, where in February 2015, Goshen defaulted on rent, and it transferred the possession to Pioneer Girls School without Del Monte’s approval.
Therefore, in April 2015, Goshen sued Del Monte over lease fraud, and Del Monte counter-sued for trespass and eviction as Pioneer began operating the school.

Although both sides filed multiple cases, Pioneer School began renovations and student enrollment, prompting court orders restraining their activities, which they challenged.
By July 2025, court judgments affirmed Del Monte’s ownership, leading to eviction orders against the Pioneer School.
While Del Monte was granted possession of the land, the court made an exception for the school, allowing it to operate until the end of the academic year to minimize disruption for students.
“I take regard to the best interest of the child,” Justice Omollo said. “The best interest herein is to let the school calendar for this year run to an end before the students’ learning is disrupted. It is on this account that although I make an order for vacant possession, Pioneer International Schools Ltd shall surrender such vacant possession on Dec. 10, 2025,” said in court by a judge
