President William Ruto has announced that he will sponsor two Kenyan football fans to watch a Premier League match in England.
Kevin Masagara and Useful Idioty will fly to England to watch their favorite teams play.
“H.E. President William Ruto has sponsored two football fans to travel to England to watch their favourite teams live – Masagara at Old Trafford and Idioty at Emirates Stadium,” the statement read.
Masagara will watch the Manchester United game at Old Trafford, while Useful Idioty, as a social media influencer, will watch Arsenal at Emirates Stadium.
Masagara and Useful Idioty to Watch the Premier League in England
During an engagement with Langata MP Phelix Odiwuor, popularly known as Jalang’o, President Ruto announced that he will sponsor two Kenyan football fans, Kevin Masagara and Useful Idiots, to travel to England and watch their favorite Premier League teams.

Masagara will cheer for Manchester United at Old Trafford, while Useful Idioty will support Arsenal at Emirates Stadium.
President Ruto, who is also an Arsenal fan, will pay for their tickets, business class, and accommodation in England.
“I will buy them tickets, business class, and also pay for their accommodation in England for their experience, to know how things will be in here at Talanta Stadium,” said President Ruto.
This follows President Ruto’s inspection of the construction of the Talanta Stadium, where AFCON 2027 matches will be played.
Kevin Masagara is a diehard Manchester United fan who is referred to as the number one Manchester United fan in Kenya.
Masagara has attracted millions of followers through supporting Manchester United, creating reaction videos before and after every game.
Useful Idioty, a Kenyan comedian and social media influencer, is referred to as the Arsenal General, known by his common phrase “mambwembwe is a must”.

President Backs Majembe vs Mbavu Destroyer Boxing Match.
Earlier, President Ruto pledged financial and logistical support for the highly anticipated boxing match between Majembe and Mbavu Destroyer.
The match organized by Steve Thompson, alias Oga Obinna, has ignited excitement among Kenyans, with several celebrities bidding on the match.
“There are two men, Majembe and Mbavu Destroyer, who will be meeting head-on on April 4, 2026. We have given them one month to train; you must place something on it,” said Jalang’o.
President Ruto promised to give the two boxers 1 million each and buy 2,000 tickets for Kenyans to watch the match.
“I wish Majembe and Mbavu Destroyer all the best. Let them go and try it out. I place Sh1 million for Majembe and Sh1 million for Mbavu Destroyer. For the fans who are going to watch, I will buy them 2,000 tickets,” said President Ruto.
